All vocabulary words derived from the literature and articles will be defined using a standard dictionary. Students will demonstrate comprehension of vocabulary words by responding with appropriate short phrases or sentences, (e.g., answer simple questions).link Template #1

SUPPORT STRUCTURES FOR WEAKER READERS:

Template completion (as homework) was challenging for students, because these activities are not as exciting as the in-class group activities. Perhaps the vocabulary, journal, and dictionary exercises could be presented using presentation software such as power point illustrations as a means of learning entertainment that encourages the student to stay with the lesson.
