Note: The following student work samples focus on the cultural aspects of the House on Mango Street readings. However, according to one Web site critic, "this book is used in teaching everything from psychology to culture in levels ranging from junior high through graduate school." Therefore, the following Human Rights themes have been adopted for this Unit:
