UNIT QUESTIONS


  1. What is the nature of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and multiple personalities? What are the past and present techniques of treating those disorders?
  2. How might an individual handle it emotionally, financially, and socially if someone that he/she cared about was stricken by s major psychological disorder?
  3. Treatment could be lifelong phenomena. Should a family be expected to pay for it? Should the government be expected to pay for it?
  4. Should a mentally ill individual be forced to take medication? Should that individual be forced into therapy? Should that individual be forced into an institution? Should there be consequences for refusal?
  5. Should a person suffering from a major psychological disorder be found guilty of a crime? Should they face the same consequences as a non-sufferer?
